The lights dim, the doorbell rings, and the first thing your guests see is a skull lantern with lights glowing from the shadows. That is the welcome Halloween deserves. Whether you are hosting a haunted house party, setting up a spooky dinner or decorating for trick-or-treaters, this piece sets the mood the moment it lights up.

At 16.5 inches, it has enough presence to hold its own on a mantel, a front hall table or a window ledge, where its lights cast an eerie glow. The skull design fits right into a skeletons-and-skulls display and looks just as striking among candles and cobwebs as it does on its own.

For a bigger effect, group your skull lantern with other skeleton decor, a few faux spiders and some draped black fabric. Set it out, light it up and let the haunting begin!
